The purpose of an electromechanical box or enclosure is to have the appropriate components required to control a system enclosed in one space with the ability to route power and data to and from the components inside the enclosure. Below is a representation of a box build. In essence, electromechanical components, a variable frequency drive (1) and a programmable logic controller (2) are assembled inside an enclosure and input, output and power are interconnected via a wire harness into a terminal block (3). Input, output and power can now be transferred into and out of the enclosed box via the terminal block for various applications in another location requiring the use of the internal components.
